Entirely self built and using materials collected from the farm and area, Honeystone Cottage is the only one of its kind here at Shiriba. It's private and secluded and offers both views of the Berg as well as a dam teaming with birdlife. It's easily a nice cosy hideaway for two who want to escape to the tranquillity of nature for a while. Upstairs, the spacious bedroom offers a deliciously comfortable queen bed and flaunts lovely views of the mountain, hillsides and dam. Downstairs, this self catering unit offers a fully equipped open plan kitchen with gas electric stove and a fridge freezer large enough for those extra supplies. The kitchen opens to the lounge dining area which boasts a cosy fireplace for the cool winter nights. A well appointed modern bathroom has both bath and shower.     Bedroom has a mosquito net, overhead fan, or has ducted chimney for warmth in winter. An oil heater and electric blanket alternative is provided, as are extra towels and a hairdryer.     Open plan kitchen with gas/electric stove, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery, crockery, braai utensils etc.   From ground level double doors open out to the braai and splash pool vista and the deck invites you for sundowners, whilst the evening dam life puts on the entertainment. A shaded car port solves the sun or hail problems and next to the deck is a canoe for those who want to get closer to the action. A range of incidentals are also included – ice in the freezer, water, hair dryer, umbrella, torch, a safe and wood for fires/braais. The cottage is serviced daily between 10am and 12 unless you’d prefer not to be bothered.       Spacious well appointed bathroom with shower and bath.     Relax in the lounge/dining area and view the ever changing activities and light shows over the dam.
